Here in Hancock, we’re all about getting comfortable. Yeah, once in a while we like to dress to the nines and treat ourselves and our significant others to a night to remember. But most of the time, we just want to go someplace where we can kick back in jeans and a t-shirt, shoot the breeze with the locals over a drink, and enjoy a great meal without all the fuss.
Famous for their home made fudge of many flavors, Two Sisters Emporium also offers an intimate setting for a casual meal with a twist. They are a gourmet coffee shop, bakeshop, bar, bistro, restaurant, and gift shop all in one! Located in Hancock’s historic Capitol Theatre, the sisters have maintained the stage where they also provide the occasional dinner and a show.
From salads and sandwiches to steaks and sides, the Beaver-Del restaurant provides a rustic retreat from the hustle of modern life. Stop in at the bar for a cocktail, or try one of their local brews. Dinner is served in The River Room overlooking the East Branch of the Delaware River.
The Bakery specializes in baked goods, fresh breads, and made-to-order special occasion and wedding cakes, but you’ll also find a daily assortment of gourmet soups and sandwiches on the menu. Top off your treat with an espresso, latte, or cappuccino. Open Spring through Autumn only.
This beloved anchor restaurant in the Hancock community is back after TWO devastating fires in 2015. Reasonably priced traditional Italian-American fare with a huge side of friendly, welcoming service is the order of the day at Little Italy. Stop in for a delicious bite… you’ll be part of the family in no time!
16 miles outside of Hancock proper is the Rainbow Lodge, a family-run restaurant nestled between the surrounding Catskill foothills. During the summer, you may choose to dine down by the pond and watch the ducks and geese as you enjoy a delicious meal. In the Autumn, you’ll see exactly why it’s called “Rainbow Lodge” — and why it’s a favorite of locals and visiting outdoor adventurers — a hidden gem with great food and friendly service.
With daily counter specials like Cheesy Mostaccioli and Tuscan Bean soup, this is not your grandmother’s general store (even though it may look like it!). A quaint and quirky shopping and dining experience is guaranteed just a short 10 miles from Hancock village.
Another of our PA neighbors, Lakewood Lodge is located just 10 minutes outside of Hancock Village. They feature traditional casual dining favorites such as wings, burgers, pizza, steak, and seafood to eat in or take out. On weekends, you can catch your favorite local live bands. They’ve also got a great new outdoor dining pavilion and Summer Sunday “Cruise Ins” with antique/classic cars and bikes welcome!
